UPSC Civil Services Examination results 2016 declared, names of top-10 rankers

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of Civil Services Examination 2015. The written exam was held in December 2015 and the interviews for personality test held in March-May, 2016. 

The total number of candidates recommended for appointment for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ is 1078. There are 172 other candidates in the waiting list.

Breakup as per category:

♦ SC-76
♦ ST-89

The first position was secured by Tina Dabi (roll no 0256747) from New Delhi while railway officer Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan (0058239) from Jammu and Kashmir has got second rank and Delhi-based Jasmeet Singh Sandhu (00105512), an Indian Revenue Service officer, has secured third position.
