  • BCCI president N Srinivasan is set to be the first ICC chairman for a 2-year term beginning July this year.  
    • The move is in line with the ICC structural reform which gives more power to the big 3 of international cricket India, England and Australia.
    • India, which generates 80% of the game's total revenues, will enjoy a permanent seat on a five-member executive committee alongwith Australia and England. 
    • The 3 will also pocket larger share of the ICC revenues from now on.
    • All the full member countries (8 out of 10) approved the changes barring neighbours Sri Lanka and Pakistan who opposed and abstained from voting.
  • Sushil Koirala, leader of Nepali Congress, is to be the next Prime Minister of Nepal.
