"e-pragati" to bring all Govt. services under one roof
Andhra Pradesh government has launched AP State Enterprise Architecture (APSEA) e-Pragati project to bring all the government services under one roof. The APSEA is a comprehensive architecture to leverage the latest advances in e-governance tools.
The project is aimed at bringing together 745 government to businesses, government to citizens, government to employees and government to governments services offered by 33 departments and more than 300 government agencies.
With e-Pragati, Andhra Pradesh becomes the first state in India to conceive and execute a state-wide enterprise architecture. e-Pragati has been designed with an estimated investment of Rs. 2,358 crore of which the State will share Rs. 1,528 crore over a period of three years.
The project is aimed at bringing together 745 G2B (government to businesses), G2C (government to citizens), G2E (government to employees) and G2G (government to governments) services offered by 33 departments and more than 300 government agencies.
The basic objective of e-Pragathi is to move away from the piecemeal approach and provide an integrated ‘One governance’ that will be citizen-centric, transparent and effective.
Advanced countries like South Korea, Singapore, the United States, Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Australia and New Zealand have all embraced this type of architectural approach to e-governance.
The ground work for the ambitious project, which has been entrusted to IT major Wipro, has been going on since January. The project is envisaged to be implemented in three phase and set for completion by December 2017
